Team - Jenna Selby

Jenna has been skating since 1998. She was persuaded to buy a board by her good friend Dee Sansom, a seasoned rider who had been shreading the streets of London for a decade previous. Knowing nothing about a ‘set up’ but ever the eternal student, Jenna found a deal for a cheap board through Victory Magazine in the States; an 8.5″, $15 Zorlak H20 deck. A bargain so she thought, until hit with the £25 import tax. So overall the board worked out no cheaper than buying in the UK, it did however kickstart Jenna’s skating life. After her very first roll down St Albans Hill on 48mm wheels, she hasn’t looked back since, although the wheels have gotten somewhat bigger.

Jenna studied a BA(Hons) in Photographic Arts at Newport – a city which also holds her best memories of skating. One particular favourite is the time her friends bought her a packet of biscuits the first time she ollied up a curb. Thanks to a very encouraging lecturer her Final Major Project focused on photographing and creating artwork surrounding female skateboarders, something she has carried on to this day.
